Jessica Simmons

Jessica has been with Auto Innovators since it was formed in 2020 and was previously with the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (Auto Alliance), where she began in 2011. Jessica provides legal, policy and advocacy advice at both the federal and state level, with a focus on motor vehicle safety, cybersecurity, privacy, automation, and connected vehicle technology. Prior to joining the Auto Alliance, Jessica served as a trial attorney in the Litigation and Enforcement Division of the primary federal regulator for automobiles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. There, she handled regulatory compliance issues as well as various rulemaking challenges and employment litigations. Jessica received her J.D. from the University of Georgia, where she served on the Intellectual Property Law Review and holds a B.A., with distinction, from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.  She is a member of the District of Columbia, Georgia, and North Carolina bars.
