Tom Miller

Tom joined the Alliance for Automotive Innovation in 2022 as the Senior Director of Energy & Environment. In this role, he is responsible for environmental regulations including California’s zero emission vehicle and low emission vehicle programs.  Tom works extensively with the California Air Resource Board and states that follow California’s emission control program (Section 177 states).  He brings 30 years of automotive industry experience to the Auto Innovators including years at Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and most recently at global automotive supplier Aisin. Much of Tom’s experience was in product development where he holds nine patents for product designs including near field wireless charging.  Before joining the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, he spent eight years as the General Manager of Regulations & Research at Aisin.  Tom holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Detroit and a Master of Science in engineering management from the University of Michigan.
