Auto Innovators provided comments to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJ BPU) on its plans to add funding for FY22 and restructure the amount and availability of its EV incentives. Auto Innovators recommended that NJ BPU first assess potential future funding needs, ensure a greater amount of funding going forward, and provide additional data to support its proposed changes to the incentives’ structure. Given that NJ has set aspirations for 100% EVs by 2035, Auto Innovators reinforced the importance and need for a sustained EV purchase and charger incentives program in the state.
