WASHINGTON, DC – The Alliance for Automotive Innovation (Auto Innovators) today announced additions to its state and federal affairs teams:
Nick Steingart joins as Director, State Affairs and will oversee the association’s advocacy work across Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. Most recently, he was Director, State Affairs at the National Automatic Merchandising Association where he advocated on sustainability, transportation, environmental and technology policies. Earlier in his career he worked for the Associated Builders and Contractors and in multiple roles for the Florida House of Representatives.
Ben Tesfazghi joins as Director, Federal Affairs effective July 11 to support the association’s federal advocacy work, particularly around transportation automation, safety and electrification. Most recently, he was Senior Manager, Legislative Affairs at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) where he worked with Congress and policymakers on behalf of franchised automotive and truck dealers. Earlier in this career he served in advocacy roles at the Renewable Fuels Association, Total Healthcare Solutions and Ballard Spahr LLP and worked for the House Committee on Homeland Security and American Express.
