Testimony of the Alliance for Automotive Innovation at the Hearing on Proposed CAFE Standards for 2027-2032

Auto Innovators testified before NHTSA on proposed CAFE standards.  The testimony focused on the need for alignment between GHG and CAFE standards.  “Maximum feasible CAFE standards should coexist with an achievable EPA GHG program, resulting in CAFE compliance for manufacturers that comply with the GHG program.”  The testimony also described how the proposed standards exceed NHTSA’s statutory authority to set maximum feasible fuel economy standards.
